Leni Knight

Leni Knight has more than eighteen years of experience in public relations, marketing and management of special projects in various industries. In the areas of public relations and marketing, Leni successfully worked with several local and national clients including small to medium size corporations and non-profit organizations. She worked on initial concepts of several products and services, with budgets ranging from $1,000 to over $2 million, to their eventual production and distribution. Leni was the Executive Producer of award winning projects focusing on environmental sciences and interdisciplinary programs. She is also the publisher and co-writer of 150 page Teacher’s Guide: Project Water endorsed by the Department of Education, State of Hawaii. She taught Project Management classes at Kapiolani Community College and has been a guest speaker in many mainland and Hawaii conferences regarding multimedia production, design and marketing.

Bravo, A&E Biography & TBS. Possessing extensive field & production experience, Summer has a proven track record of acting as the talent liaison, organizing
& coordinating crew, arranging & executing field shoots and writing daily HotSheets for the network. Accustomed to wearing many hats, she frequently oversees
multiple aspects of productionÜthe licensing & clearance of various media, the booking of talent, putting together paper cuts and writing scripts. Occasionally,
she produces independent film projects as well.

Jasmine was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii and has been in and around the ocean her entire life. She is an award winning sculptor, painter, songwriter, singer and guitarist. Jasmine was 2nd runner up in the Miss Teen America pageant and 2006 Miss Honolulu. She also a Certified Sailor and a award winning Junior Olympics Competitor. Jasmine will assist the captain and crew aboard the Port of Normal sailboat as they circumnavigate the Hawaiian Islands in search of incredible stories to document.

Erica is a "Straight A" student fluent in Japanese and English. Her favorite subjects are English, Math, Choir and Dance. She loves to read, listen to music and do art work. She has a real passion to learn all about the ocean and its animals making her a great host for PlanSEA TV.
Sam Monaghan
PlanSEA TV Host
Sam plays the ocean enthusiast, Snorkel Sam. He has a passion for the ocean environment and loves to share his enthusiasm and knowledge. Sam is actually one of the world’s best bodysurfers and excels in many of today's popular ocean adventure sports, including big wave surfing! For the past nine years, Mr. Monaghan has hosted a popular TV series in Japan, entitled "Aloha Tengoku". The show reaches more than 6 million homes on Sky Perfect TV and spotlights the Hawaiian Islands. He also writes a column for Japan Airlines’ website, entitled Sam's Log. Sam has recently gained major television exposure in Japan for his role in escorting the famous Hawaiian Voyaging Canoe, HOKULEA, for its first ever visit to Japan.

Kai Oli Oli
The Kai OliOli is a state of the art 65' power catamaran owned by Shane Griffin, founder of Ocean Joy Cruises. They are located in Ko Olina Harbor, Oahu's most prestigious marina. The PlanSEA cast and crew will explore the Waianae coastline aboard the Kai Oli Oli in search of large pods of spinner dolphins, humpback whales during the winter months, and snorkel in crystal clear waters amidst the pristine coral reefs on the west-side of Oahu.
Port of Normal
"Port of Normal", a fully offshore outfitted Gulfstar 50' sailboat, owned by Rob Mathews. This is our vessel of choice for ocean adventure and exploration while circumnavigating the Hawaiian Island chain. Captain Rob's local sailing knowledge will take the PlanSEA cast and crew to some of Hawaii's most compelling marine environments. "Port of Normal" recently returned from 6 months circumnavigating the Fiji islands and Samoa. The vessel is regularly chartered around the Hawaiian Islands with Hawaii Yacht Adventures (www.HawaiiYachtAdventures.com) Mr. Mathews has been a professional captain and Padi Scuba Instructor for the last 17 years. He's logged over 25,000 open ocean miles and has sailed remote areas of Japan, Indonesia and the South Pacific. Captain Rob's passion for the ocean and sharing his experiences and knowledgeable in a light hearted manner makes him the perfect guide for our ocean adventures.

Lucas Passmore began his career in the film industry when he was 22, at Hess Newmark Owens Wolfe, a publicity firm based in Chicago, which is
outsourced by a number of film studios in Los Angeles. Assigned to the New Line Cinema and Universal Pictures accounts, his responsibilities
were to work with a small team to conceive and execute multi-media publicity campaigns for each film released by the studios that included television,
radio, newspaper, and magazine, as well as critics screenings and staged, city and tri-state area events. At 26, Lucas went to work exclusively for
one of Hollywood's most sought-after writers, Michael Dougherty, whose writing credits include the X-Men 2 and Superman Returns. In his time working
with Michael, he has had the opportunity to be alongside for the latter half of post-production on Superman Returns as well as act as the Los Angeles
assistant to Michael on his directorial debut on the upcoming Warner Bros film, Trick 'r Treat. His other responsibilities include editing and giving
creative notes on all of Michael's scripts and projects as well as searching for new properties and projects for future development.
Emily Hutta

Ms. Hutta has been writing for children for over 25 years. Her credits include books, scripts and interactive materials for Disney, Nickelodeon, LeapFrog,
Blue's Clues, Captain Kangaroo, Arthur, and others. She has also written educational materials for software and textbook publishers; concept briefs for
children's programming; and promotional materials for non-profit children's organizations. Ms. Hutta's works include Children's books, interactive CDs
and educational materials. Emily's writing skills and proven track record, in creating world-class children°s entertainment, makes her a very valuable
asset to this project.
Margy O'Kelly

Ms. O'Kelly, is from Johannesburg, South Africa, where she obtained a higher diploma in senior primary education from the Johannesburg College of
Education, followed by a B.A. at the Johannesburg University. She majored in English and has taught English, since 1979, at every school level.
Margy has lived in Honolulu for fourteen years, and currently teaches at Sacred Hearts Academy in Honolulu, where she teaches the Advanced Placement
Literature and Composition course to senior classes, in addition to regular junior literature and writing classes. A part time artist with a sub-major
in art, she has a keen eye for and interest in creative enterprises in all the arts.
Shawn Ford

Mr. Ford received his M.A. degree from the University of Hawai'i at Manoa's famed Department of Second Language Studies. He is an instructor of ESL at
Kapi'olani Community College where he teaches intensive, high-intermediate, and advanced English to immigrant and international students.
He is also pursuing a PhD in Educational Policy in the Department of Educational Foundations at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa. His research and
teaching interests include content-based instruction, integrated-skills instruction, grammar development, materials development, and his two children,
who have been raised bilingual in English and Japanese since birth.

The former included A& R (artist and repertoire) and the design and implementation of marketing & promotion strategies for a broad diversity of artists including: the London and Vienna Symphony Orchestras, Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass, Tom Jones, The Moody Blues, The Rolling Stones, Dionne Warwick, The Supremes & Diana Ross, The Jackson 5 & Michael Jackson, Howling Wolf, and B.B. King. Scott was the Personal Manager of the late Jimmie Spheeris, signed to Columbia Records by industry legend Clive Davis.

Charlotte Vick
Ocean Content Consultant
Charlotte is all OCEAN, all the time. Having lived in and worked with island communities most of her adult life, she knows first-hand how important the ocean is to the future of life on Earth. In early 2008, she leaped at the chance to support Sylvia Earle and Google in the development of Google Earth's "Explore the Ocean" layer. Working with scores of partners and individual contributors, she helped develop ocean stories about marine life, science and exploration, ocean and atmosphere, oceanic ecosystems, marine protected areas and the human connection in Google Earth. Working with a broad spectrum of governments, ocean enterprises and non-profits, she brings to Deep Search international marketing and communications expertise as well as resource, development and business planning experience. Charlotte holds a BA degree from the University of Texas at Austin and did ocean studies at the University of Hawaii Manoa in Oceanography and fisheries.
Laura Norman

With a Masters of Education, Laura is a certified Japanese and ESL (Englishas a Second Language) teacher with over a decade of teaching experience inK-12 both in Japan and the US. She is a former President of the National Council of Japanese Language Teachers and worked as a Dean of the JapanAbroad program through Concordia Language Villages as well as Director of USASummer Camp in Kumamoto Japan. She is also the co-founder of Camp Kyushu inNagasaki Japan working with Guy Healy Japan Inc. Last summer she worked on ateam to produce an educational TV reality series, called Aloha Challenge inHonolulu, HI with students studying English and Japanese. Laura strengthsare helping students achieve higher than average results in second languagelearning (at times breaking records), intrinsically motivating the learner and making learning fun.
Dr. Marilyn Chipman
Director of Curriculum
Dr. Chipman is an educational sociologist holding a B.A. degree in Sociology and Psychology from the University of Denver, an M.A. Degree in Early Childhood Education from California State University, and a Ph.D. Degree in Education: Curriculum & Instruction from the University of Denver. She taught elementary school in California and Colorado before moving on to academe in 1987. Among her many roles as a tenured college professor, Dr. Chipman served as Assistant to the Director of the Teachers for Colorado Program, and as Area Coordinator of the Early Childhood Education Teacher Certification Program. She has been instrumental in curriculum planning affecting students from pre-kindergarten through the adult learner in both public and private schools. As a recognized author, consultant, international conference speaker, and early childhood educator, Dr. Chipman has taught courses in curriculum design, methodology, and theory. She has helped with the implementation of curricular change on state and district levels as well as in public and private schools.

Samara Weiner earned her J.D. from Emory University School of Law and is licensed to practice law in California. She has advised Plan Sea Entertainment on legal
matters and is Plan Sea's Entertainment Consultant, securing financing and distribution for Plan Sea projects (television, motion picture, and Sea of Jazz), and
promoting events for Celebrate the Sea and Plan Sea and its partners, including the Art Miles Mural Project. Samara is a Scorpio (a water sign) and was therefore
